WinterCon 2017: Cosplay and Guests!

This December 1-3, 2017 saw the latest edition of the annual sci-fi/ comic-book convention, WinterCon at the Resorts World Casino in my hometown of Queens, NY. Alan "Negative Pop" Camuto and I had the pleasure of being present to cover it, once again. Though, we were only able to attend Sunday, the 3rd. Regardless, it once again proved itself to be one of the best cons on East Coast!
There was a lot of cosplay, but we'll get to more of that in a bit. As, with last year, they had an awesome guest list. Included were reunions of two favorites of mine: Ridley Scott's masterpiece Blade Runner and classic sci-fi series Buck Rogers.
From Blade Runner, I met one of my childhood crushes, the beautiful Sean Young (above). She was so nice and friendly in person, that it helped ease the nervousness of meeting her. She is freaking Sean Young after all, who is a legend in my book!
From Buck Rogers, I met Erin Gray (above, right), who I also had a childhood on. Horror fans may also know her from Jason Goes to Hell, where she played the mom of that flick's final girl. Gray is also a total sweetheart in person. Afterwards, I got to attend a panel that had her and two other cast members, Thom (Hawk) Christopher (above, left) and Barbara (Koori) Luna (above, middle). It was was enjoyable and highly informative.
I got my DVD copies of Blade Runner and Buck Rogers, the complete series, signed by both of these beautiful and wonderfully sweet ladies. You can see my autographs, directly below.

As I said, there was some really cool cosplay on hand. I, joined in on the fun, myself, as I was, once again, Logan from this year's phenomenal movie of the same name. Here are some of my favorites:
Logan (myself) vs. (a very awesome) Mr Freeze!
A truly awesome Black Widow and Psylocke and myself.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone do Ares before, but goddamn did this following guy ever do it awesomely! It might have been my favorite of the day!

Speaking of DC characters. there was a bunch of them, including Ares and others you have already seen in this post, posing outside:

Scary Terry from Rick and Morty is ready for Christmas. And, he finally met Wolverine! In all seriousness this was one of the coolest cosplays of the day, bitch!
Holy crap! This is an incredible cosplay of Roy from "Blade Runner"!
How fucking badass are these "Mad Max" cosplayers?!

Of course, there was a lot of Star Wars props and cosplay on hand, which always makes me a happy camper!
I LOVED this R2-D2! I wish I could have taken him home with me.
This Jawa stole parts from my bike! The little asshole is gonna eat some andamantium!
Presenting the most random crossover of the year! But, come on, admit you would totally read this comic!

Of course, I also got to pick up some cool swag. They were as follows:

Funko Pops of:
The Shining- Jack Torrance
Star Wars- Walgreens Exclusive of an AT-AT Driver
Mortal Kombat- Kitana
and a cool as hell Daredevil tee.

In all, I had we had a freaking blast and can't wait for next year's edition!
